The Museum of Ancient Ships in Pisa, located in the Medici Arsenals (Lungarno Simonelli n.16), is divided into eight thematic areas, which logically recount the history of the city of Pisa from its origins to the Middle Ages and display the ships and their cargoes, consisting of amphorae, organic material, metals.
Guided tours:
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 3pm and 5pm.
Tickets: Adults €8.00 — Children aged 6 to 12 €6.00 — Under 6s free.
Tickets can be purchased on the website or by arriving 10 minutes before the tour time.
Museum admission fee:
Full price £8.00 — Concessions £4.00 — Under 18s free
Tickets can be purchased online on the Pisa National Museums website, on the Italian Museums app or directly at the museum ticket office 10 minutes before the tour time.
The museum is also open free of charge on the first Sunday of the month for “Sunday at the Museum”.
