Visiting the Sound Garden (Giardino Sonoro) of Ghizzano

The Giardino Sonoro (Sound Garden) is open only upon reservation (Ph. +39.346 2108857). On Sundays at 4.30pm upon reservation.

The Italian-style garden, owned by the Venerosi Pesciolini family, offers enchanting geometries and perfect symmetry of spaces, and encompasses the canons of beauty of the late Renaissance classical-inspired style.

Inside is an installation by the Roman artist Immacolata Datti dedicated to “Ovid’s Metamorphoses”: eight sculptures in terracotta and wood which, through the voice of the theatre actress Antonella Civale, recount their own metamorphosis, accompanied by music by David Barittoni and Giacomo de’ Caterini.
