The “Gran Premio del Monte Serra-Ragazzi del Vega 10”, uphill race of 9.266 km intends to remember the 44 boys of the C-130 ‘Vega 10’, the terrible air tragedy of March 3, 1977. On that day, the Vega 10, an Air Force Hercules, crashed a few minutes after take-off on the Serra with 38 students from the Naval Academy of Livorno, an officer and five crew members on board.
