The New Year’s Concert | Pisa, Teatro Verdi

The traditional New Year’s Concert has been held for 34 years on 1 January at 6 p.m. at the Teatro Verdi of Pisa.

Every year, the customary encores, the final toast offered by the Chamber of Commerce and local producers, and the sprigs of mistletoe donated to the audience by the florists.

Don Pasquale – Gaetano Donizetti (Ouverture; Quel guardo il Cavaliere), the prelude of Traviata – Giuseppe Verdi, Sonnambula  (Ah! Non credea mirarti) – Vincenzo Bellini and Barbiere di Siviglia (Ouverture; Una voce poco fa) – Gioachino Rossini.
Mozart – Don Giovanni (Ouverture; In quali eccessi .. Mi tradì) and Così fan tutte (Temerari … Come scoglio), and the final Brindisi –Traviata di Verdi.
