Season at the Teatro di Via Verdi | Vicopisano

On Friday, 19 January, at 7.30 p.m., Lash&Grey will perform in a concert organised with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic and enriched by evocative video projections created by artist Maria Mikloskova. Since 2020 they have released two albums, ‘Sleepin’ With The Lights On’ and ‘Blossoms Of Your World’, both of which were awarded Best Debut, Best Single and Best Album of the Year in numerous music polls. The duo has also performed with many well-known musicians on the international and European scene and won many awards. In November 2022, they performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall together with Keyon Harrold, Harish Raghavan and Martin Valihora. Kristin Lash was also a finalist in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan 2022 World Vocal Jazz Competition in New Jersey.

Born at the end of the 19th century, until the early years of the following century the small theater housed the Giuseppe Verdi School of Music. After the Second World War, it became a cinema and remained so until the 1980s, when the curtain came down on the theater.
Thanks to an imposing work of restoration, Vicopisano has rediscovered a small jewel, with 100-seatings, decorated with 19th-century paintings and with perimeter walls dating back to the 14th century.
