“Ciao in Art” – Summer in Santa Maria a Monte

The summer in Santa Maria a Monte heats up the engines with “Ciao In Art”, the first major event of the summer season in the snail-shaped village, featuring the iconic mopeds of the 1970s and 1980s in an unusual combination of art and contemporary history.

On Saturday 10 July, from 6 pm the Ciao mopeds will be on display in the archaeological area of the Rocca, in the streets of the historic centre, in some activities and restaurants and in the most characteristic corners of the medieval village of Santa Maria a Monte. The day will be packed with numerous events and activities to bring the timeless 70s, 80s and 90s back to life: music, parades, themed dinners, exhibitions of works of art, body painting, origami dress creations and much more will create the atmosphere for a plunge into the past.

The initiative is part of the ‘Smam 4 You’ tourist enhancement project. “Thanks to the Smam Cards available in the activities and facilities of the village, tourists and visitors will be able to do activities in the area, such as tours with rented bikes and vintage cars, tastings, honey tasting and visits to farms. The other novelty is the first digital postcards of Santa Maria a Monte, which will allow tourists and visitors, but also citizens, to take a photo in the village and send it, via the Pemcard App, directly to the desired address.
