The rich calendar of initiatives, festivals and fairs in Pomarance and the villages scattered throughout the Alta Val di Cecina is back. It begins on 23 and 24 June with the festival of the districts in Il Piazzone
In July there are: the hunter’s festival in Lustignano, the Monterufoli horse festival at the Santa Barbara equestrian centre, Wednesdays of Pomarance in Piazza. Conclusion in Lustignano with the village festival and in Micciano.
In August the Festa della Madonna della Neve in Libbiano. Ferragosto is the turn of Serrazzano and Lustignano with the Festival of the two villages based on local dishes. Montegemoli celebrates the patron saint St Bartholomew, late August and early September are dedicated to Montecerboli with the Festa del Congio and to Larderello, whose feast anticipates the investiture ceremony of the captains of the historic Palio of the Pomarance Contrade held on the second Sunday of September
