Summer in Castelfranco di Sotto

Summer in Castelfranco di Sotto presents music and theatre performances. In addition, numerous summer food festivals organised by the contrade. In June, the pizza and ribbed melon festival every Saturday and Sunday, the fish festival (21-22 June, contrada San Martino), in July the cavatello festival (12-13, contrada S. Michele), and the peasant festival at Villa Campanile until the end of July.

In August (8-17), the Orentanese Summer begins with the highlight of the cream puff festival and the Dolcione parade preceded by religious processions on 10 and 13 August in the centre and at the church

For two weekends in September (20-21 and 27-28), the polenta and wild boar festival (contrada di San Bartolomeo in Paterno). The main dish of the festival is polenta in all sauces. Not to miss the polenta ‘a palle’, ground on stone and served with wild boar sauce, sausages and mushrooms.
