Summer in Cascina

The summer festival ‘Metti una sera a Cascina’ (Put on an evening in Cascina) takes place from June to the end of September in the centre of Cascina and in the hamlets of the municipality.
In July, every Monday live music under the arcades, the “Pro-Loco d’Italia – Toscana” day on 7 July, the “Cascina Europa” and “Cascina Incontra” meetings, the “Notte Bianca” on 12 July in San Frediano, and Antonella Ruggiero’s concert in Piazza dei Caduti on 21 July. Other events include the fairs of 22 July in Navacchio, San Jacopo in Zambra from 18 July to 4 August, and the Summer in Latignano (13 July-1 September).
In August, every Monday live music under the arcades, the traditional San Casciano Fair from 9 to 16, the Palio del Carretto in Latignano (31/8 – 7/9)

In September, the Sagra di San Prospero (1-8 September) and on 2 September the awarding of the traditional “Pulcino d’Argento” sports prize in Piazza dei Caduti as part of the 45th edition of the Festa della Misericordia. Not to be missed is the Pink Night on 14 September.
