“Spatiamentum”: Summer evening walking tours around Calci

“Spatiamentum” has for 12 years been the evening walks to discover Calci and its surroundings in July. The term was taken from the tradition of the Carthusian monks (it is not by chance that the splendid Charterhouse is located here) and meant the evening outing in the cloister, two by two, changing partners every half hour or so, so as to get to know each other.

8 July: “San Piero and La Corte” – a visit to the church of San Piero and the hamlet of La Corte. Meet and set off at 9.00 pm in front of the Pieve di Calci.

13 July: “From Castelmaggiore to Tre Colli”. A walk from Castelmaggiore to Tre Colli, including a visit to the church of San Bartolomeo. Meet and set off at 9.00 pm in front of the Pieve di Calci and travel by car to the cemetery at Castelmaggiore.

20 July: “The Molino dei Gangalandi” – a walk through the streets of Calci and a visit to the Molino dei Gangalandi. Return to the Acli Pontegrande for a toast to mark the club’s 80th anniversary. Meet and set off at 9.00 pm in front of the Pieve di Calci.

27 July: “Monte degli Eremiti” – a walk amongst the hermitages of Caprile and Sant’Antonio in Colle Rosso, and the church of Sant’Andrea a Lama. Meet and set off at 9.00 pm in Piazza Giuseppe Armani.
