Polenta and Mushroom Sauce Festival | Madonna dell’Acqua

The 43rd edition of the Sagra delle Pallette ai Funghi (Polenta and Mushroom Sauce) takes place in the premises of the Church of SS Redentore in Madonna dell’Acqua for two consecutive weekends, from Friday to Sunday: 1-16 and 21-23 July, Food stands open from 7.00 pm.

The name “pallette” is a local expression: in Tuscany they are called “matuffi” and are nothing more than alternating polenta and mushroom sauce. A dish of poor cuisine but really good. In addition to pallette, grilled meats, typical desserts and much more.
