Pisa Scotto Festival

The sixth edition of the “Pisa Scotto Festival”, a series of live events at the Giardino Scotto, takes place from 1 to 11 September. Start times: 6.30 pm or 9.00 pm. Free admission. The Festival features meetings, shows, wine tastings.

The Scotto Garden is a green space in the heart of the city, near the banks of the Arno. It originated as the Cittadella Nuova, built in 1468 by the Florentines, later destroyed during a citizens’ revolt and subsequently rebuilt to a design by the architect Giuliano da Sangallo. A public garden since 1939, it had previously formed part of the Scotto-Corsini family’s palace. Today it is a green space that comes alive in summer with concerts and performances.
