Opening of the Walkway on the Walls at Giardino Scotto

The section of Pisa’s city walls near Giardino Scotto, with access to the double walkway that runs through the tunnel and, at a higher level, along the stretch between the Tower of Sant’Antonio and the Sangallo Bastion, will be open to the public free of charge every weekend from 6 June to 1 November.

The walkway is open to public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 12 noon and from 5 to 7 pm.

The section of the walls

From the Tower of Sant’Antonio, a climb up the walls begins, leading to the two elevated walkways: one at a height of 10 metres and the second, lower one, at approximately 6 metres, which runs through a tunnel inside the walls, covering a total distance of around 300 metres. Access to the elevated walkways is via lifts and ramps, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities.
