The Coccapani Ceramics Museum introduces visitors to the art of ceramics through the presentation of production and decoration techniques, tools and instruments. Through educational workshops for school-age children, it transforms the visit into a path of discovery and growth, which helps to understand the relationships between objects, the territory and its people. Like the navicellai who in the 16th century, driving their boat (navicello), transported various types of goods. The flat-shaped navicello was small with rounded sides, capable of carrying loads of up to 25 tonnes. Later, the navicellai began to expand their business by also engaging in fishing with the use of the giacchio, a conical-shaped net, which allowed them to find considerable quantities of fish that they then resold.
