“Marenia” : Summer events on the Pisa seaboard

From 1 July to 30 August, the ‘Marenia non solo mare’ festival returns, featuring a packed programme of events across Marina, Tirrenia and Calambrone: talks, presentations, concerts, children’s shows and talent shows, all with free admission.

‘Incontri con gli autori’ (Meet the Authors) book and culture festival, running from 8 to 25 July in the former Ciclilandia Park in Tirrenia, recently renamed Ciro Plebe.

In addition, open-air cinema in Ciro Plebe Park: Sundays will be dedicated to children and families with a selection of animated and adventure films, whilst Mondays will be reserved for cinema classics. To mark the tenth anniversary of Carlo Pedersoli’s death, there will be a tribute to Bud Spencer with two special evenings: *Bomber* on 5 July and *They Called Him Bulldozer* on 6 July.

Free concerts and evenings with music
Concerts are scheduled to take place in the squares of Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa: Serena Brancale on 5 August and Alex Britti on 11 August in Tirrenia, in Piazza dei Fiori; whilst Gaia will perform on 18 August and Le Bambole di Pezza on 20 August in Marina di Pisa, in Piazza Viviani.
Other events include the Marina Dance Parade (10 July) and the big Radio Mitology party (21 August).

Eliopoli Summer in Calambrone
Rounding off the coastal area’s summer programme is the ‘Eliopoli Summer’ events calendar, which will bring Calambrone to life with live music, meetings, shows and talk shows throughout the summer. Among the main guests: Iva Zanicchi, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award; Drusilla Foer; Omar Pedrini; Alba Parietti; Grazia Di Michele; Katia Breni and Benedetta Giuntini; Gianluca Bonetta; and Marco Martinelli
