The festival takes place on 29th March in Ponte a Egola, naer San Miniato. The menu includes typical Tuscan dishes and specialities based on rabbit and artichoke. Reservation required
The “Schiacciata di Pasqua”, contrary to what you might think, is not a “focaccia”, but a cake, more precisely a “poor man’s cake”. It was in fact prepared by peasant families, who used eggs from chickens during Lent and up to Whitsun or Easter of the Roses, when there was not much else to eat.
