The Tuscan mineralogical collections of the Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa continue to grow. In synergy with the Department of Earth Sciences and the Institute of Geosciences and Georisources of the CNR in Pisa, the Museum was able to acquire a selection of samples from the collection of Angelo Da Costa, who recently passed away, a master for many Tuscan collectors.
His curiosity and passion drove him to explore the territory of Tuscany, discovering new localities and putting together a collection of over 600 different specimens. Of these, the Museum has carefully selected a number of specimens that are important from a scientific and museological point of view.
The exhibition with the entire new acquisition will be on display in the Mineral Gallery until 31 May 2023.
