Sagra del crostino – Crouton Festival | Palaia

For 49 years, on May 1st in Palaia the traditional festival with the Sagra del crostino has been renewed.

Throughout the day in Piazza del Mercato the crostini is the protagonist, seasoned in all sauces and with local products: ham, cured meats, cheeses.

Crostini are a classic Tuscan appetizer and are part, together with cured meats (salami, raw ham) and cheese (usually pecorino) of the Tuscan appetizer served at the restaurant. Accompanied by crostini there can also be bruschetta with tomato, crostini with beans and new oil.
