The festival, now in its tenth edition, aims to safeguard Tuscan gastronomic traditions in an area with an industrial vocation, in collaboration with local farms still dedicated to raising Chianina meat in the Lower Valdarno.

The menu features fresh tortelli and tagliatelle with wheat germ and seasoned with sauces such as Chianina meat sauce or porcini mushrooms. Second courses include steak with porcini mushrooms and Chianina roast beef with rocket and parmesan as well as the Chianina hamburger. There is no shortage of other types of meat such as rosticciana, sausages, with fried porcini mushrooms.

The festival takes place over four weekends in October at the Casa del Popolo in Via Fermi. On Sunday 23 October, a large extraordinary market in the streets of the centre. Restaurant open from 12.30 for lunch on Sundays and from 19.30 for dinner every evening
