Cantina Jazz – Jazz in the Winery

CantinaJazz is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Sunday, March 29, at 8:00 p.m. at Villa di Corliano in San Giuliano Terme.

The wine-and-music experience curated for the occasion is among the most impressive CantinaJazz has ever organized in its history: six wineries from the Terre di Pisa region are participating, some of which were present at the very first CantinaJazz event in 2001: Fattoria Uccelliera, Fattoria Varramista, Podere la Chiesa, Tenuta di Ghizzano, Tenuta La Macchia, Usiglian del Vescovo.

Each presents a wine made from grapes different from those of all the others, paired with a dish conceived and prepared by the renowned kitchen of the Osteria dell’Ussero, concluding, as is the established tradition, with the exotic notes of Caffè Trinci. In the CantinaJazz tradition, each wine is also paired with musical pieces, which are selected, arranged, and performed to create parallels between the harmonies of taste and musical harmonies.

Musical harmonies featuring Emiliano Loconsolo, founder of CantinaJazz, accompanied by five leading figures in Italian jazz: Andrea Garibaldi (piano), Nino “Swing” Pellegrini (double bass), Marco Simoncini (drums), Moraldo Marcheschi (saxophone), and Alessio Bianchi (trumpet).

Wine service is entrusted to the AIS delegation of Pisa, whose delegate, Alessandro Balducci, will lead the guided tasting.
