The Spring Festival takes place on 29 March from 10 a.m. until sunset, with the hamlet of Nicosia and its surroundings playing a starring role. “Spring Festival. Camellias, stories, dreams”.
A travelling festival spread along Via Centofanti, through alleys, small squares and gardens made available by private individuals. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful corners and spaces that are usually closed to the public. In this setting, we will be accompanied by camellias, games, exhibitions, picnics, guided walks, installations, workshops for young and old, all with free admission.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the great embrace in Nicosia on 10 April 2016, the event that brought together more than 1,000 people who, in a large circle, surrounded the convent as a gesture of love against the degradation and abandonment suffered for years, until 2025 when the construction site was opened for anti-seismic consolidation and safety works on the convent of St. Augustine.
