09/05/2026 - 27/09/2026 ore: 16:00 - 19:00
Villa Pacchiani, Via Francesca Sud, 67, Santa Croce sull'Arno
From 9 May to 27 September, Villa Pacchiani Exhibition Centre will host the exhibition Works from the Pieroni – Stiefelmeier Collection: A Look at the Genealogy of the Contemporary, an exhibition project conceived as a critical framework designed to examine the trajectories of contemporary art from the 1970s to the present day.
Rather than merely documenting a period, “Works from the Pieroni – Stiefelmeier Collection” prompts reflection on the role of the collection as a cultural and political practice: a space of mediation between artistic production, the exhibition system and memory.
Artists featured in the exhibition: Vito Acconci, Carla Accardi, Marco Bagnoli, Mirosław Bałka, Bizhan Bassiri, Gianfranco Baruchello, Jimmie Durham, Bruna Esposito, Cristina Iglesias, Jannis Kounellis, Joseph Kosuth, HH. Lim, Felice Levini, Sol Lewitt, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Remo Salvadori,
Villa Pacchiani, a former private residence along the Arno River, has three floors and is surrounded by a garden. The Exhibition Centre occupies the first floor, while the second floor hosts expressive activities. The ground floor is the Multipurpose Centre and is used for seminars, meetings, small artistic residencies and temporary events organised by associations or other local organisations.
