The exhibition tells the story of geothermal energy by illustrating research and drilling techniques through models. A multimedia museum particularly suited to understanding the geothermal phenomenon and its industrial developments.
The visit includes a tour of ten rooms illustrating the genesis of geothermal energy to the birth of the first chemical factory, experimentation for the production of first mechanical, then thermal and electrical energy, up to modern power plants. Outside, amidst the modern plants, remains of 19th century constructions are visible, such as the covered pond at the visitors’ reception point.
