Guided tours to the Geothermal Museum in Larderello

The Larderello Geothermal Museum, founded in the late 1950s, is located on the ground floor of Palazzo de' Larderel. The demonstration fumarole is nearby: drilled in 1956, the well is 740 meters deep, has a diameter of 9.5″, and has a capacity of 15 tons.

The demonstration fumarole is open year-round and on Geothermal Thursdays in the summer.
The Museum offers a guided tour every day (except Mondays) through the museum's halls, as well as the model room and the covered lagoon. Every Thursday in July and August at 4:00 PM, Geothermal Thursdays include a guided tour of the Museum, a hike in the Sasso Pisano Fumarole Park, and a tasting.

The demonstration fumarole opens Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Monday to Friday at 11:30 AM.
