In front of the large lawn of the Church of San Giusto, just outside the walls of the historic centre, is the Casa Museo Consortini, which houses a personal and artistic exhibition of Raffaello Consortini, a sculptor of national renown with a shy character and genuine talent.
There are forty main works by the sculptor from Volterra; scenes of everyday life, of animals and local people doing things or simply posing for a portrait. And again, of household objects, funerary objects and various classical decorations. Fascinating photographs in terracotta, bronze and wood of personal moments of life lived, of a Volterra that no longer exists, of a twentieth century that has now passed into history.
