Every year on February 14, Valentine’s Day, Via del Pretorio in Vicopisano is transformed into Via dell’Amore.
The Route
The route—which climbs from the main square, Piazza Domenico Cavalca, up to the Rocca del Brunelleschi—is romantic in its own right thanks to the views it offers of the Monte Pisano, the Arno Valley, and the Pisan Hills, but on Valentine’s Day it becomes even more enchanting thanks to the floral decorations. Many couples come to take a stroll on this special day, from morning until sunset.
