Santa Maria a Monte | The Clock Tower

Next to the former Palazzo del Podestà stands the 6-metre high Clock Tower with a stone base. The tower was originally part of the defensive system protecting the second ring of walls, and was later transformed into a civic tower with a bell clock to mark the time of day and call the farmers from their work in the fields.

The top floor, which belongs to the municipality, has been restored, rescuing the tower from decay and returning it to the public with an exhibition of objects taken from the Museum of Rural Life of San Gervasio.
