Christmas in Cascina

‘M’illumino di Cascina’ is the programme of Christmas initiatives in the municipal area, with travelling events, street parties and shop openings from 30 November to 11 January 2026.

On 11 January 2026, there will be a guided tour of the Church of San Jacopo in Zambra, in collaboration with Italia Nostra Sezione Cascina.

The Befana on 6 January
Finally, the Befana – a sort of good, old witch – in Cascina (who does not come at night). The old lady arrives on 6 January, descending from the Clock Tower in Corso Matteotti.
The day begins with Pompieropoli, a fun and recreational course for learning about prevention and safety rules while having fun. In the afternoon, the fire brigade distributes Befana stockings to the children.
