Every Volterra-born person cannot miss the traditional tripe breakfast of the Labor Day, one of the most heartfelt events that involves the elderly and children
The originality of this celebration is that it starts at 8:00 in the morning!
According to tradition, alabaster artisans used to have breakfast with tripe: from 8:00 in the morning, tripe Volterra style for everyone, but also pods, pecorino, shoulder and local red wine, which can be tasted at the Arci clubs and some restaurants. Bars and markets open at 10:00 and live music shows frame the day until 20:00.
