Slow tourism focuses on experiences in contact with nature and local history, including walks through the villages, visits to the copper mines and food and wine trails, promoted by the programme “A Long Tale of Land and People”. Activities include walks or donkey rides, workshops on wild herbs and cultural explorations in the medieval village and the surrounding area

Meeting point: 10:00 a.m. at Piazza della Repubblica in Montecatini Val di Cecina or 10:00 a.m. at Piazza Martiri della Libertà in Volterra
Distance: approx. 14 km – Elevation gain: 450–350 m – Difficulty: E-Moderate
