Feast of San Luca, patron of alabaster makers

Alabaster craftsmen have always been the most creative part of the city of Volterra.

Around 18th October craftsmen celebrate their festival, San Luca degli Alabastrai, promoted by the Comitato San Luca degli Alabastrai.

San Luca degli Alabastrai confirms itself as one of the most interesting festivals on the national independent scene, giving continuity to a specific experience, that of Volterra’s craftsmanship related to the languages of contemporaneity.
