The “ficattola” food festival in Bientina

The traditional festival, organised by the Contrada Quattro Strade, which participates in the Palio di San Valentino, returns for three weekends in Bientina: 21-23 August, 28-30 August and 4-6 September

The festival takes place at the Parco delle Sughere, with food stands opening from 7.30 p.m. onwards. Every evening a musical show
The ‘ficattola‘ is nothing more than a type of flour-based pasta, fried in hot oil, to be eaten plain or stuffed with cold cuts or other specialities.
