The Dramma Popolare di San Miniato is gearing up for a new, exciting theatre season. For this 80th edition of the Festival, high-quality performances will take place from 25 June to 30 July at 9.30 pm in various venues across the historic centre.

The Istituto del Dramma Popolare di San Miniato, Italy’s oldest theatre festival, has been a unique phenomenon on the Italian and European theatre scene. The plays staged over the years belong to a particular genre of drama known as ‘Teatro dello Spirito’ (Theatre of the Spirit), referring to all those works that explore the search for the meaning and purpose of life.
