Vapori di Birra

Vapori di Birra is the first brewery in the world to produce craft beer using geothermal steam as its primary energy source. It was established in the heart of Tuscany, in Sasso Pisano, in an area known for its boric acid fumaroles - high-pressure and high-temperature steam emissions that emerge from cracks in the ground or from artificial drilling - used to produce geothermal energy. Thanks to the unique nature of the area, the desire was born to use this resource to create a project that would combine a passion for beer, nutraceuticals and short supply chains with that for sustainability, creating a quality product that would not have an impact on the environment. The plant has been specially modified to use geothermal energy instead of traditional fossil fuels, so the whole process is environmentally sustainable and has a reduced environmental impact, as carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere are reduced to zero.
