On Saturday, April 25, Liberation Day from Nazism, a nighttime tour featuring film screenings that recount the events of World War II in Pisa, from the initial enthusiasm for entering the war through the bombing of August 31, 1943, the Nazist occupation, the resistance of the partisan brigade, the city divided in two by the Arno front, the Cathedral flooded with displaced people, the fire at the Monumental Cemetery, the Nazi roundups, up to September 2, 1944, when the Allied Forces crossed the Arno and liberated the city. Thanks to silent headphones, participants are immersed in an engaging experience.
Departure at 9:00 PM from the Torre Piezometrica (Porta Pacis near the Polo Fibonacci) and arrival at approximately 10:30 PM in Piazza dei Miracoli.
Repeat performance on Saturday, May 2.
