12/09/2026 - 19/09/2026 ore: 21:00 - 22:30
Mura di Pisa, Piazza dei Miracoli, , Pisa
Following the Giugno Pisano, the Mura di Pisa Night Experience returns in September: a night-time tour high up on the walls featuring film screenings.
An experience to be enjoyed through headphones, step by step, amongst the walls and the history of Pisa.
On Saturday 29 August and 5 September, the film screenings recount the events of the Second World War in Pisa, from the initial enthusiasm to the heavy bombardments the city endured, right up to the entry of Allied troops into the city following the 40-day battle on the Arno. Archival footage and personal accounts will guide viewers on a journey through a city facing one of the most difficult periods in its history.
The film screenings continue on Saturday 12 and 19 September with the ‘classic’ version, a journey through the centuries: from the ingenious workings of the Roman baths to the splendour of the Maritime Republic, from the life of Laura Ruschi to the history of the Marzotto factory, featuring original audio and video content that allows you to relive the history of Pisa and its city walls from their earliest days to the present day. Historical re-enactments and animations allow you to immerse yourself in a millennia-long adventure.
