The Società Operaia takes you on a journey rich in history, culture, art and artisan traditions in Cascina, a medieval fortified castle of the Pisan Republic. A journey that connects past with current life

On Sunday 18th may at 3.30 pm meeting with the tour guide at the Civic Clock Tower in Corso Matteotti. You visit the historic center of Cascina walking along its ancient streets, medieval walls and towers, enter in the Oratory of San Giovanni Battista (or of the Knights of Malta), in the Pieve di S. Giovanni e S. Maria Assunta:, in the Oratory of S. Croce
Then, a workshop by the master carpenter Barege – born among the shavings -closing at the Museum of the Società Operaia di Cascina Legno e Mestieri, where the social, cultural and artistic history of the last two centuries are shown in 9 thematic rooms.
