Volterragusto and the “truffle market fair” is back: an appointment that for 13 years has inaugurated the “spring of taste” in Volterra: a weekend to be experienced amidst the flavours of the Alta Val di Cecina, music, creative handicrafts, initiatives for adults and children.
The heart of the event will be the Logge del Palazzo Pretorio in Piazza de’ Priori, where it will be possible to get to know and purchase the best of the local bread basket specialities – in addition to truffles, also cheeses, oil, wine, beer, cured meats, sweets – told directly by the producers.
In addition to the market fair: “Game of Jarro” Awards: Saturday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m., the awards ceremony for Niccolò Mazzanti (MasterChef Italia).
Ludobicicletta for kids (Saturday, April 4), truffle-hunting simulation (Sunday, April 5, and Monday, April 6), and the big Easter egg hunt (Monday, April 6). Guided tours “Food Landscapes,” the Chocolate Festival, and must-see art exhibitions.
