Via Crucis (Way of the Cross) in San Miniato

The live reenactment of the Passion of Jesus takes place on Friday, April 3 at 9:00 p.m. from Via Conti. Some 150 characters and actors will bring the reenactment to life in the streets and squares of San Miniato, which will be transformed into Palestine in the year 33. The public will also be involved.

The Way of the Cross winds along a route that reenacts Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem (Via Conti), the Last Supper (Piazza del Seminario), the arrest of Jesus, the trials before the Sanhedrin, Pilate, and Herod, the death sentence (Piazza del Seminario), the Way of the Cross (from the entrance arch to Piazza del Seminario, along Via Vittime del Duomo to the steps of the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Crucifix), the Crucifixion (Piazza Duomo), concluding in the Cathedral
