Pontedera celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Vespa with a major national gathering on 25-26th April, called ‘80 voglia di… Vespa’ (80 years of Vespa). The 2026 edition takes on symbolic value, marking the start of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Vespa, which was launched in 1946 and has become an international icon, an expression of Italian style, innovation and identity. Pontedera is the city where the history of the Vespa took shape and is therefore the ideal setting to pay tribute to it.

6.00 pm – Piazza Piaggio: Inauguration of panels and refurbishment of the entrance to Villaggio Piaggio
6.30 pm – Crec Piaggio: Secret concert with Samuele Borsò and Veronica Cairo

Sunday 26 April
10.30 am – Centrum Sete Sois Sete Luas: Start of the Vespa Club Italia parade
The event will bring Vespa riders and enthusiasts from all over Italy to Pontedera to celebrate the world’s most famous scooter together.
