Terricciola Epic Bike Race

Sunday 5 September sees the start of Epic Terricciola: a non-competitive sporting event dedicated to cycling and exploring the local area, amongst hills, vineyards and fine local produce. An event for everyone, with two routes allowing participants to choose the experience best suited to their fitness level: the Epic route, approximately 52 kilometres with 800 metres of elevation gain, and the Short route, 20 kilometres with 200 metres of elevation gain.

Three refreshment points along the route, two of which will be hosted at the Lunelli and Vallorsi wineries, where participants can recharge their batteries whilst surrounded by vineyards and cellars, experiencing the region’s finest produce first-hand.

Making the 2026 edition even more special will be the presence of Gianni Bugno, a two-time world champion and a key figure in some of the most iconic moments in Italian cycling.

Bugno will be in Terricciola the day before the event: on Saturday 5 September at 6.15 pm, on stage at the municipal park in Via Roma, he will be in conversation with sports journalist Roberto Sardelli during the official presentation of the event.
