The Cammino d’Etruria is an itinerary for walkers and cyclists that links sites of interest related to the period of development of the Etruscan civilisation: from the Tumulo di San Iacopo (a few steps from the Tower of Pisa) to Chiusi.
On Sunday, 18 May, a ring-route suitable for everyone will take place on trails in a hilly environment for a length of about 13 km. The meeting point will be in Botteghino at 8.15 am. Transfer by own means. Return by 1 p.m. Possibility of sharing a meal in accommodation facilities in the villages visited.
Programme dedicated to Toscana Oggi subscribers. Non-subscribers are asked to pay a contribution of 10 euros per household, which will entitle them to a month’s subscription (n 4 issues) to the weekly paper Toscana Oggi with the diocesan supplement Vita Nova. Children over the age of eight and/or used to walking are allowed. Dogs with a leash are allowed.
Equipment required: equipment for mid-mountain walks plus rucksack, water bottle and easily assimilated foodstuffs (dried fruit, sweets). Suitable shoes with rubber soles are indispensable.
