Silent Reading Book party | Montopoli in Valdarno

On Friday 6 September, the first ‘Silent Reading Book Party’ will be held in Piazza San Matteo in Montopoli. Starting at 7.30 p.m., Piazza San Matteo will be transformed into an open-air reading room with people reading different titles at the same time. The Silent Reading Party originated in America and in recent years has involved thousands of readers all over the world.

Participating is simple: just show up at the appointed time and bring everything you need for reading, i.e. what you want to read, a blanket to lay on the ground or to keep on when the sun goes down, a pillow and a small light.

 

In the square there will also be a corner set up by the Municipal Library where you can register or receive information about the Bibliolandia network and borrow books.
