“Sagra del popone” – The Melon Festival | Pomaia

The Sagra del Popone, a traditional food festival on the first weekend of August for 42 years, is an opportunity to taste some traditional Tuscan dishes, such as tagliatelle al cinghiale (noodles with wild boar sauce), vegetable soup or stockfish.

The ‘popone‘ is the Tuscan term for melon.
