The Maggio of| Buti

After almost 40 years, the May Passion of Jesus Christ returns to the streets of Buti, organised by the Compagnia del Maggio Butese. Sunday 8 May at 17.00 with departure from the Teatro Francesco di Bartolo and arrival at the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. In case of bad weather it will take place inside the parish church.

In this world, where the emptiness of the soul and the end of values seem to prevail, it is a good challenge to re-propose the Passion of Christ in its natural place, that is, in the house of the Lord. With this opera sung in May, Buti recreates with a repetitiveness at Easter a tradition that it lacked.
