Pasqualando, Easter riding a bike | Ponte a Egola

The fifth edition of the two-day cycling event in Ponte a Egola will take place over the Easter weekend (4–5 April). Two days of competitions and sport for everyone!

On Saturday 4, among other activities, there will be a national handbike race followed by a charity dinner: a fundraising event in aid of the Meyer Foundation.

On Sunday 5, the doors are also open to amateur cyclists, M. beginners and M. students.

Ponte a Egola is one of the most important centers in the world for the production of leather and leather processing. The birth of the tanneries dates back to the mid-nineteenth century, thanks to the abundance of water in the area. Since then, the tanning activity has developed steadily until the boom of the 1950s. It is located near San Miniato, in the Lower Valdarno, along the Strada statale 67 Tosco Romagnola. The hamlet is crossed by the Egola river, from which it takes its name, near its confluence with the Arno.
