Peasant feast | San Miniato

From 1 to 5 September, the Festa sull’Aia in the hamlet of La Serra di San Miniato offers a chance to rediscover rural traditions through threshing on the threshing floor, carried out using vintage machinery.

The wheat is brought to the threshing floor, where a group of farmers recreates the atmosphere of half a century ago, when threshing was seen by families as the highlight of the year’s farming activities.

On the afternoon of Sunday 5 September, the 47th edition of the Palio di San Regolo takes place – a sack race in which the districts of San Regolo, La Pieve, Mulinaccio and Palagio take part.
