Peasant feast | San Miniato

At the Festa dell’Aia, peasant traditions are rediscovered through the loading of grain and threshing on the threshing floor, performed with vintage machines. The wheat is brought to the threshing floor where a group of farmers relive the atmosphere of half a century ago, when the threshing of wheat was felt by the families of the time as a real highlight of the agricultural activity of the year.
