The Montecastelli Piano Chamber Festival concerts take place from 1 to 22 August in the Auditorium della Musica, housed in a small medieval church in Montecastelli Pisano.
Saturday 1 August, 6.30–7.30 pm: Schubert’s Octet in F major
The performers: Fanny Fheodoroff (violin), Cosima S. Larivière (violin), Veronika Hagen (viola, of the prestigious Hagen Quartet), Erica Piccotti (cello), Roberto Di Ronza (double bass), Francesco Mattioli (principal horn of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra)
18 August and 22 August, 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm (times and programme to be confirmed)
The festival stems from the passion for classical music and Tuscany of Philipp Bonhoeffer, a German doctor and musician, who brings leading international musicians to the concert hall in the medieval village of Montecastelli Pisano in the Upper Valdicecina.

Montecastelli Pisano is a small medieval village in the heart of Tuscany with fewer than 100 inhabitants. Right at the top of it, is a beautiful tower and the former castle giving the name to the village. In this site with magnificent views into Tuscany to create a place which stimulates thinking and creativity.
