Giardino della Nunziatina, Via La Nunziatina, Pisa
Metarock, Italy’s longest-running rock music festival, now in its 36th edition, takes place in the new premises of the Giardino della Nunziatina and is titled ‘Shots of Grace’ as it is dedicated to female voices.
The festival has a weekly cadence: from 17 June every Friday until 15 July. This is not a random choice: 17 June is in fact close to the solstice of Rome when the temple of Venus, the Colosseum and Rome itself are aligned with the axis of the summer solstice, and the day of the week on which the five concerts will take place is dedicated to Venus.
Friday 17 June opens the festival Rossella Seno, star of Animal Aid live
Friday 23 June at 7.30 p.m. is the concert of singer and songwriter Serena Altavilla
Friday 24 June will be the turn of Madaus, the ensemble of the Volterra Academy of Music
Friday 30 June Elli De Mon with her blues contaminated by punk influences and Indian music
Friday 7 July Marina Mulopulos, the Italian-Greek singer with a rare talent for vocals
Friday 14 July closes the festival Frida Bollani Magoni, the very young and talented daughter of art
