Le Serre Festival | Peccioli

The Serre Festival in Peccioli is an opportunity to relive rural traditions and spend a day in the open air in the midst of nature, with entertainment for young and old alike.

The fulcrum of the festival is the Church of the Madonna delle Serre, a jewel of Tuscan architecture whose origins seem to date back to 1356, a symbol between the old farming community and that of the historic centre of Peccioli.

Saturday 6 May at 9.00 p.m. is the preview of the festival with the evocative torchlight procession from the centre of Peccioli to the Church of Serre, where the painting of the Madonna delle Neve is kept.
On Sunday, 7 May, the appointment is with a day to be enjoyed in the open air under the banner of sharing traditions handed down from generation to generation. Following the Mass celebrated for the occasion, at the #trasparenze space, the Valdera Chorale organises a lunch for 12 euro. In the afternoon, educational workshops for children, a charity fair, markets, and an exhibition of historical tractors.

Transport will be guaranteed by the usual shuttle buses operating from Peccioli and the hamlet of Montecchio from 7.45 a.m. until the end of the festival.
