From 4 to 9 October, the Società Operaia di Cascina -Museum of the Weeod Workers is hosting the exhibition “Scolpire l’invisibile – Sculpting the invisible”.
The exhibition features wooden sculptures by the artist Angelo Perini, creator of the “Presepe dell’Angelo di S. Giovanni alla Vena” and acclaimed worldwide (with works also donated to Pope Francis and the President of the Republic, Azelio Ciampi).
- The Museum of the Wood Workers can be visited at the headquarters of the Società Operaia, developed in nine themed rooms: the historical and itinerant library, the area of historic furniture designs, the collection of carpentry tools, the Antonella Gamba collection, the rooms of antique photos and videos, the space dedicated to the Furniture Exhibition, works by artists from Cascina, the corner of the Casciavola Consumers’ Cooperative Society, with video projection and Pinocchio’s surprise selfie on his sofa.
The museum is part of the Piccoli Musei Italiani and is located at Via Curtatone, 60, in the centre of Cascina.
